Unfortunately, part of challenging the Dirk Strider Memorial Gym (I *know*) is to first (concurrently?) engage in a rap battle with the man. After walking up an entire high rise building's worth of stairs no less. And since Thace wants to challenge the Aurora League gyms while we wait for the weather to improve enough for us to leave for Victory Road, we *both* have to subject ourselves to this nonsense.
(He's not much happier with the rap requirement either, but thinks he'll be able to pull it off by doing Galra-style poetry.)
Dirk isn't even a particularly good rapper himself. I should know. I've listened to his answering machine message.
The thought *has* occurred to me, not going to lie. But given that I won't have the ghostwriter up there with me after I spit the initial rhymes, I suspect he'd notice.
It's fine. I'm just going to stop trying to write the whole initial rap out at once and just make notes of things to taunt him about, like how Nic Cage won't take his calls and his hair looks like a damn bird and then probably throw something in about the lack of warning about the stairs.
Hm. I definitely *should* mention plush rumps in some context. Hmm, and probably about how he ripped off his shades from a dead aniki... something something about him getting freaky?
