[There's not a whole lot that Jolyne is really great at when it comes to dealing with people. But one thing she's very good at, most of the time, is being perceptive when she actually gives a shit about the situation or people involved. Which is exactly why she'd become steadily more concerned about how weird Chloe had been acting as the conversation of wedding nonsense with Carly had been ramping up.
And, in typical Jolyne fashion, she'd merely told Carly the bare bones of what she was doing before dragging the far more level-headed the more logical of the two of them with her. Which of course had meant Jolyne's idea was to wait until her shift was over at the whole bar thing and cornering her the second she got the chance to and it not be totally and completely awkward to an outsider.
